well my budgie is kinda picky so i cut the carrot up into TINY little pieces. Im talking smaller than diced. just tiny tiny little pieces that he can just pop into his mouth like a seed haha. hes plenty capable of ripping the carrot up himself he just wont.

∙ 14y agoBirds will naturally gravitate towards tasty treats, so if you hang it in the cage, there is every chance the bird will be curious enough to check it out. Sometimes, morsels of these foods can be added in with the bird's usual food, but there's every chance that, if it doesn't want them anyway, it will throw them out.
Some types of parakeets are naturally fruit eaters, and some prefer grains. They always love it when grass seed-heads are placed in their cage.
