Technically, a biome cannot be endangered. Endangered refers to a species that is at risk of extinction. However, there are many biomes that are being destroyed rather quickly. These include the tropical rain forests, temperate forests, and grasslands are probably the most at risk. Subarctic forests, arctic habitats, deserts, and extreme highlands are at much less risk.
In most cases where a bat species is endangered it is due to lack of environment. For example, when forests are destroyed, the fruit bat no longer has a home or food and is endangered.
