First, you should get a haircut, it doesn't have to be drastic, but just to cut off the ends. Then start using Aussie cleanse and mend shampoo along with Aussie moist conditioner. Then when you iron you hair, use Chi 44 Straight guard and Chi silk infusion. Put these in before your hair is dry. You can put more Straight guard in after you hair dries, it works well. These products are not as expensive as Chi flat irons... they are a good price about $20 for a set of those 2 and smoothing cream. This should work... it worked really well for me.
