The Suzuki Carry DB51T and DD51T incorporate an Idler Arm in its steering assembly. The Idler Arm uses a rubber bushing with a metal outer casing which must be pressed out or, knocked out with a socket of correct diameter and hammer.

Symptoms are typically play at the steering wheel and/or a metal knock on bumpy surfaces. Visit Mini Truck Supply on line to see an exploded view of the steering assembly and to order a new replacement bushing.

How do you fix a loose steering wheel on a 1991 jeep Cherokee?

There is a large nut in the center of the wheel under the boss cover, tighten it to the manufacturers specification. If, however, the steering is wandering this could indicate a loose steering/suspension joint or problems in the rack or steering column which must be checked out and repaired before the vehicle is used further.

How much should you expect to pay to fix a steering column on a 91 Chevy crs?

What it would cost to fix your steering column depends on what is wrong with it and you did not tell us. The tilt steering column in my 1989 GMC Suburban became loose in the tilt mechanism. I was quoted as much as $125.00 to fix it, but I shopped around and got it repaired for $60.00. Unless your steering column has the same problem that number is probably useless. I would suggest you call several shops and get a quite to fix it.

I have a lifted 89 blazer with loose steering. I have to continously move the steering left to right 11 oclock to 1 oclock to keep it going straight. How can I fix it?

The first thing on the list is to check your air pressure and have the alignment checked.

The Steering wheel on my 95 Rover classic vibrates violently when the left tire hits a bump over 50 mph what could this be?

Loose steering linkage, loose lower control arm bushings/struts, faulty shocks/struts.## ### ALSO CHECK THE POWER STEERING BOX LASH - ALSO BAD RUBBERS ON PANHARD ROD LINKS AND A FAILED STEERING SHOCK ABSORBERMost likely to be loose swivel bearings.Almost all Classic Range Rover steering shimmies can be traced back to loose swivel bearing preloads.I've owned a 1988 RRC and a 1994 RRC LWB. I had the same shimmying at highway speed after hitting a bump. I replaced the OE Steering Dampener shock with a Bilstein and the problem was instantly solved. Prior to doing this the dealership wanted $5000 to fix this problem and their list of recommended fixes did not even include the steering dampener. RR dealers don't fix cars... they sell them.

How do you fix a loose steering wheel on a 1987 cutlass ciera?

By loose, I assume you mean that the entire steering column is loose. That requires you to remove the steering wheel (wheel puller required) and also digging through several layers of electrical components: first layer is the turn signal. second layer is the ignition. third layer is the high beam. After the third layer, you should see 4 torx bit screws that secure the steering column. Tighten those torx bit screws and the column will no longer move up and down. If you mean the steering wheel is loose, as in there is a lot of play in the turning, then you need to adjust the rack and pinion in the engine bay.
