To fix a car door that is sprung due to a bent or damaged hinge, the best thing to do is replace the hinge. If the hinge is welded and not bolted to the vehicle, the entire door will have to be replaced.

Can't tell without seeing your problem but, most problems with doors start with worn out door hinge pins and bushings. Letting the hinge pins and bushings wear out leads to damaged door latches and strikers.
free and you can do it yourself!!!! get a socket or 2x4 and open the door, place it in the hinge and pull the door closed on it to bend the hinges back, you'll have to experiment to get it right.
get a hinge replacement kit for that door. its the door sagging NT the latch.
Check the fuses first. Check the wiring near the door hinge.
Take out a hinge pin, put a slight bend in it by hitting it with a hammer, tap it back in. If it doesn't work, do the next hinge pin.
there are multiple ways of doing depending on your car and mechanical skills, one is to simply put a block of wood or something under your door and stand and maybe jump a little on the door sill or sitting in the car. Or there are bolts on the door hinge if you loosen the bolts on the fender then pull the door up and tighten that should help too
I do not know the term "transit van" but this should apply to any car door. Try to determine if it is the hinge or where it mounts that is the problem. Often either on the door or the frame where the hinge bolts on will pull out. Put a block of wood against the face of the hinge and hit it with a heavy hammer. Depending on the design of the hinge if it just has ears where it mounts, these can be bent. Unbolt the hinge and straighten them. Most hinges can be unbolted to be worked on, but some newer ones are welded to the body and only unbolt from the door. If you are built stout enough, you may be able to put your shoulder against the door and shove it back.
Unlock it.
Try replacing the hinge pin bushings. Common problem on these trucks.
How door hinges are fixed is based on what is wrong with them. They can be replaced if needed, if a door hinge is stuck sometimes oil can help it gain more mobility.Ê
