How can you get hair dye off your skin?

depends on what type of dye. if oil based, try petroleum jelly, rubbing it in, washing off with soap or detergent and water, and keep repeating. i had good luck with oxy-clean powder, but be careful, keep cold water running. chemical reacion from h2o2 gets hot.

Also if you mix Bicarbonite of Soda and Lemon and scrub with toothbrush for around 15 minutes, Wash and dry. Then Scrub with nail file and moisturise until all dye is off .

One word. BLEACH. Put it on an old rag and rub it on your skin. Viola! If you're asking "how you get hair dye off skin" that means you're probably sitting at home, late for an outing, and desperate. And the "go to the closest beauty supply shop" advice probably just ticks you off. Just get the bleach out - your skin will be fine as long as you rinse it off immediately. I have dark hair and have had no luck with nail polish remover, tooth-paste, vaseline, OR vinegar. Save yourself the headache. And for nails (like when your nails cut the ends of the gloves and the hair dye stains your fingertips) - just polish over with a dark nail polish! I always polish my nails (no need to be neat) before I dye my hair, so if/when my fingertips get stained, the nail polish remover will atleast remove the nail stains (because they're on top of the polish), and the bleach will take care of the rest. Previous answer: Try warm water, antibacterial soap, and a wash cloth... if that doesnt work go to your closest beauty supply shop ... they have products there that will get dye off your skin. But you should be able to scrub it clean.

i just dyed my hair purple and it was all over...i went 2 the closet for bleach ...only had a drop..in my bathroom pantry was some toilet bowl cleaner gel and it seemed to be saying try me ...i did and viola ...my hands and neck is clean!

I mixed baby oil and hand soap then scrubbed for a while and rinsed. This will fade it a lot, but you might need to do it a few times.

you can use soft scrub that you use to clean a bath tube with then you have to scrub it but when your done put on some lotion so it doesn't make your skin dry

If soap and water hasn't worked so far, try spraying deodorant on it or pouring a little vodka on and scrubbing, all depends on what kind of dye really :L

Use some kind of abrasive substance: i.e Jif cleaner or a lemon half rubbed on also works...

Hair dye will come off your skin fairly quickly after you color your hair. You can rub some shampoo on the skin and that should help to remove the dye stain from your skin safely and gently.
