There are actually 3 ways.

1. Play lots and lots of games. Try play Puffle Round-Up and see how far you can get without losing any puffles. Gets boring after a while, though.
2. Use Penguin Moneymaker. I wouldn't suggest this one though, because your penguin could get banned. If your daring enough to do it, only get how ever many coins you need. Never, ever go over 50,000 coins at a time because then, I promise you will banned. Go to [Clubpenguincp.com] to download it. That is the most trustworthy site to download it.
3. Type in book codes. If you go to [Clubpenguincp.com] it will list all the book codes for all the books. I used this method, and now I have over 16,000 coins, and I still haven't typed them all in yet. You can also get a cool book for your penguin the first time you do this. You get 2,000 coins per book. You cannot use the same book over, though.

Either way you chose to do it, just make sure you don't get too into getting coins and actually play Club Penguin.
