Contacting professional colony-removers is the way to rid ground cover of an underlying bee hive. The insects in question number among an environment's beneficial arthropods, be they located above, on, or under the ground. So their removal needs to be conducted by experienced professionals, during inactive hours in bee schedules, such as before 10:00 a.m. and subsequent to 3:00 p.m., and with head-to-toe personal protective equipment.

We are second year beekeepers and have had this problem this year also. The books I have read tell me to buy a big jar of ground cinnamon from a restaraunt supply store and sprinkle it liberally near the base of the hive and open up the telescoping cover and sprinkle it on the top. The bees don't mind it and the ants hate it! Good luck!

Well there are several ways. There are sprays which you need to spray in the hive too kill them. you can also call an exterminator if you're not sure how to handle the problem.

Bee HiveOnly domesticated honey bees live in hives. Honey bees living in the wild will usually build a nest in the hollow of a tree trunk or under the eaves of someones house. Bumble bees very often nest in holes in the ground.Honey bees can live in a hive or in a hollow tree or in the attic of a house etc.

Bees like to be in a dark place so there are two methods of getting a swarm into a hive. The fastest way is to shake the bees out of the container that they are in, straight onto the top of the frames that are inside the hive and replace the roof of the hive thereby leaving them in the dark and giving them the chance to settle down. If you have time available, it is much more interesting to watch them walk into the hive by themselves. Every hive has a small entrance for the bees near the bottom of the hive. You place a ramp from the ground to the entrance of the hive and shake the bees out of the container that they are in, onto the ramp. When the bees find the hive entrance and realise that it is dark inside, they will start to walk into the hive but as it is a small entrance and there are lots of bees, it will probably take about an hour for them all to get in.

Under normal circumstances, only one.
