You can't
just gently rub the area around the white spots few times. sometimes it will worsen the whiteness because it is caused by the bad pixels stuck on the spot, but most of the times it will get fixed by pressing gently.

stuck or dead pixels can sometimes be fixed. there are a couple methods out there but neither can claim even 75% success rates. also, even if fixed, those pixels are more likely than others to become stuck again. you can massage the pixels to try to restore life or use a program that will flash colors at it in different patterns to try to unstick it. search for these methods to get more in depth instruction. good luck
