Dogs "play with their poop" because they have an anxiety problem. Dogs need plenty of daily exercise (at least 45 mins), if they don't get it, they begin to act out. Being in a kennel or being tied outside, does not count as exercise.I have a Beagle that did the same thing. Once I started walking him daily, he stopped "playing with his poop".

A dog that doesn't eat dog poop is a VERY good dog! You NEVER want your dog to eat poop, because after your dog may lick you, the floor, or even get into your food. This could get you ill and your house could get sickly to live in.

How do you prevent a dog from rolling in dog mess?

If it is rolling in its own mess or that of dogs it lives with, that will be hard. You will need to be very diligent about cleaning up after them. Of course, that would make life more pleasant for whoever has to mow the lawn, too. If it is rolling in feces outside it's own yard, you will have to keep it in its own yard, except when it is on a leash. And even then, you will need to maintain control over your dog. This will be easier if the dog has had obedience classes.

How do you stop your dog from pooping when hes ancious?

Dogs should be house trained while they are still puppies, but since it has come to this point, the dog can still be trained. Rather than having a kennel that is large enough so that the dog can poop in one corner and sleep in another, put it in a small cage so that it can't poop without messing up its own sleeping area - which it will instinctively avoid doing. Then it has to whine to be let out when it wants to poop. After this has gone on for some time, it will get the idea that it has to go out to poop.
