How can you get your parents to let you hangout more?

1. Do some work. Clean your room, mow the yard, do the dishes, clean the bathroom, wash the car - all without them asking.
If you want to "hangout" which translates into "play" more, then you have to think ahead of them. Just like in life, you have to get the work done FIRST then you can play. A parent wants to see that you have learned this lesson.
In my house, I always know when my kids are going to hit me up to do something because they start doing things like mowing the yard or washing my car without me asking. Like all parents, I only want to see that my children understand that they have to contribute to the whole household, not just their little corner of it.
Treat it like a business. I will trade you ____ for ____. If you don't have time to do the work first, then negotiate with them. Put an offer on the table. "I will mow the yard tomorrow afternoon if I can go to Tommy's today for 2 hours." Then stand by your word. If you don't you'll never get this opportunity again. If you do, you will be surprised at the power you now have to control your own life.
2. Trust could be an issue. If you have been dishonest in the past or not honored your word, then trust could be an issue you are going to have to deal with. Start by setting up little situations that show them you can be trusted. Tell them you will be home by a certain time and don't be a minute late. Tell them you will clean your room every Friday, and DO IT WITHOUT FAIL and without being asked. This will build their trust.
3. Their opinion of your hangouts and/or hangout buddiescould be an issue. Unfortunately, parents still have the last say so my advice is to evaluate your hangouts and/or hangout buddies. They could be right. Or not. Maybe it's just a matter of letting your parents get to know your hangout buddies better. Have them over, include your parents in some of your hangouts (examples: listening to music in your room, going to get ice cream, riding at the skate park). The more secrecy you have around your hangouts the worse your parents will be about them. Invite them along for a few. Trust me, parents get bored easily too and you won't have to do it all that often. It's just the fact that you're willing to share it with them that helps them feel more comfortable with what's going on.
Remember:
a. You can't change other people, you can only change yourself - which changes how other people act with you.
b. YOU CHOSE YOUR PARENTS and you chose them knowing that you would get from them what you needed in this lifetime.

well you could do 2 things, 1) you could secert go out with him and not tell your parenst and risk getting caught or 2) you could ask your parents again If your parents won't let the pair of you date then see if your parents will let you go on a group date, which is just a group of 4-8 people. Or just go hangout as a group. There may be a good reason behind why your parents won't let you date and sometimes you just need to listen to their decision
