You have to realize how each bite of food effects your body, in both good ways and bad. Respect the fact that it is a privilege to have this abundance of food, don't abuse it. Try counting calories for at least a couple days just to make you more aware of what and how much you eat. Although it's very difficult, try to eat more in the morning than at night, and don't eat before bed, as very little of this will be burned off. As for exercise, join a sports team, do a weekly yoga class, start biking, buy some roller blades. Exercise is a lot easier to keep doing when it's fun and not just for the sake of exercise. The biggest thing to losing weight and toning up, is to be patient and persevere. Find the right balance of eating reasonable amounts of healthy food that is still tasty so that you don't feel trapped. In addition, exercise regularly. Stick with it for at least two months. You should see noticeable results. Some other things that will make this easier is to drink lots of water and make sure to include protein, as protein builds muscle which burns extra calories.
