It is just like any car I suppose... I would change the oil and oil filter at every 3,000 miles, the spark plugs at every 30,000 miles, also at that time hopefully the coils are fine, but I would probably replace them as well (both). Replace Timing belt at 100,000 miles, after a while if any seals break, get them fixed or do them your self, it does not take that much skill or knowledge just time and a bit of money. Change the breaks when you need to, cover any exposed metal (scratches) with the appropriate paint color to reduce rusting, keep joints properly greased to give a longer life to the rubber with in the joints and reduce rusting. In salty areas remember to wash off salt, in sunny areas use Armor All or something cheaper but similar for the plastic or leather inside the car. In short just keep up with maintenance.
