You might have 2 problems.
1) The radios are VIN specific and so to get it unlocked you have to go to the dealer and have them program your VIN in the replacement radio, could be $10 to $75 depending on your dealer.
2) If you are trying to put a CD/Cass. in where there was just a plain cassette, it won't work anyway, the cassette player is internally amped, the CD/Cass. has an external amp, so if that is your situation, don't waste your money getting it unlocked.
go 2 ask.com and u will find it
What size cd player fits 1988 coupe deville
Check for a blown fuse

I don't think there was a factory CD player for the 1988 corvette. The Bose was a cassette player that measures 1.5 din
yes there is you have to get it from a cadillac dealer or you can buy an after market one from walmart
you are better off leaving the factory CD player because the theft system, pwr locks, etc. are all connected through the CD player and will not work if u remove it unless u re-wire the factory CD player to the trunk.

Begin by securing your CD player with the two retaining screws. Connect the wiring harness to the back of the CD player. Put the retaining cover on to the front of the CD player.
Yes, chucktaylor@prodigy .com is looking for a 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham U1H Radio Assembly, the one with the CD player.
