Many times different types of people just don't mix. In many cases you could be the thing that ties all these people together. To keep old and new friends just make time to hang out with both. If friends from both the old and new share qualities or hobbies maybe introduce them to each other.

Also, make sure you have any contact information on them. That way you can still stay in touch even if you don't see each other that often anymore.

When you're going to meet your new friends take your old friends with you?

Simply talk to new people and hang with them, but don't ignore your old friends.

You should make new friends and keep the old because your old friends you can trust because they have been your friends longer and if your new friends don't like the old friend tell them that they have to deal with it just say 'Big woop'.

Is is more important to keep your old friends than it is to make new friends?

If you are very close to your good friends then you should never turn your back on them to make new friends. Even though individuals have old friends there is no reason they cannot make new friends and every once in awhile introduce the old with the new.If you only have one good friend keep them as a good friend but get more friends. You might have to keep your close friend as your closest!

Can a 30 year old woman be friends with a 20 year old woman or is that awkward?

Yes, a 30 year old woman can be good friends with a 20 year old woman if that 20 year old is mature. No matter what the age of a person it is wise to have an array of ages for friends as the young keep you on your toes and keep you young and your older friends make sure you don't make a fool of yourself and keep you grounded.

Once finished with high school do you usually make new friends once you're in college or do you generally keep in touch with old high school friends?

You might keep a special few friends from high school and you will certainly make new friends in college. It's another great adventure so enjoy it. I agree with what the first answer has said, but i believe it depends more on the person(S) you are friends with, if you want to keep in touch but they are in a different country and very busy it may be kind of difficult even if your friend and you have a great relationship and swore to keep up with each other. Oh, and in college many people aren't there to make friends so people will act different than people in high school. Not to say that they won't be nice!
