You techinally don't "put" the brush on the pet. Go to shops, and then to the rainbow fountain...it will then let you select the brush you have and the pet you wish to paint. Make sure its what you want to do though, once you paint the pet the only way to change it is to repaint it or give it a morphing potion.

∙ 13y agoFirst, make sure the paintbrush is in your Inventory. Click on Shops, then click on the Rainbow Pool, which is located in the center, to the right of the Money Tree. There should be a picture of your neopet(s). Underneath the neopet that you want to paint, make sure the correct color is showing on the drop down menu, and click Submit.

There are only two ways for your neopet to be a baby neopet.1. Find and buy a baby paintbrush. These can get veryexpensive, but it makes them look SO cute! However, if you use the Shop, Trade, or Auction wizard, you won't find the brush (as it is with all rare items). I suggest posting an ad on a website, your profile, a pet's page (especially the one that you want to paint).2. A very rare random event will turn your active Neopet into a baby neopet.
