What are some fun things to do with a bearded dragon?

Beardies are pretty smart little lizards and really seem to enjoy human contact. take him for walks on a harness or buy him some toys. Mine seems to enjoy playing with a ping-pong ball, lol. I watch TV with him, and take him around the city with me on my shoulder. If you have any apple products like an iPod or iPad, buy the game "ant crusher" and see how good he is at it! Eventually with time they will learn their own name and with treats given sometimes will learn to do simple tricks like shaking hands and coming when called :) Its not as easy as training a dog but beardies really are the best for that sort of thing since they are intelligent and unlike most monitors and other highly intelligent reptiles, seem to have an unusual love of people. They love to look out windows. You can place him in a window sill as long as it is safe and he cant fall off or walk away on his own. They also like to "swim" If you havent put your BD in water yet he will act like he hates it and wants to get out but the soaking is very good for him to keep him hydrated and give him exercise. Once he is use to being soaked you can do it regularly and he will likely move around a bit. They also like to bask in a warm soak (temp no greater than 105-110 degrees). He wont be able to tread water so make sure the water level is no higher than his armpits and never leave him alone in the water.

You can't 'play' with a Bearded Dragon ! They will ALWAYS remain a wild animal - they lack the brain capacity to understand what 'play' is and who their 'owners' are ! Their primary purpose is to seek out food, digest it, and eject the waste products.

after the years of having bearded dragons breeding them and stuff like that well what i think is that some bearded dragons have the own mood now mine bearded dragon well he thinks he is a human and he always wants to sleep on people and cuddle with people exception girl friend his name is bubbles i have about 38 bearded dragon and some are mean some are nice and some are lazy and fastest I'm trying to tell u guys that they are help because they put you to the test and they are really fascinating and cool and if u bugs in your house you can collect them and feed them to your bearded dragon or take him out and get him to see it. They also really help with social skills as seeing how much u love for them i have had reptiles sense i was in 1st grade it started with fire belly toads and then snakes lizard turtles and other if you guys got any questions with bearded dragons and care for them let me know or with Chinese water dragons

Bearded Dragons have no concept of what boredom is ! Their brains, like other reptiles, are not developed enough to understand what it means to be bored.
