One way would be to try the printer on another computer. You could also try removing and then reinstalling the printer. Also try updating the driver.
It depends on printer. For laser printers it's very easy to do, just print out test page using controls located on the printer itself. With other printer is harder because of absence of testing interface. The only choice you have is to connect the printer to computer try to get it printing. If does on one computer and does not do it somewhere else you point is proved.

Your problem is not the printer, the problem is availability of windows drivers for the printer. If you find appropriate windows drivers supporting the printer you should not have problems using your laptop with the printer*. *I have assumed that you have windows installed on your laptop.
Yes, it is possible to prove that the clique problem is NP-complete.
When a DOS-based program has a problem printing to a network printer
If the vellum is rated for a laser printer, it shouldn't be a problem. You do NOT want to use inkjet paper in a laser printer, or vice-versa.
The problem is not with the printer ... it is only doing what it has been commanded to do from the PC or MAC. Could be that your printer settings need to be looked at.
The printer does not have enough memory to hold the entire page
"Is the printer powered on?" "Are there any error messages displayed on the printer's screen?"
no
The answer will vary depending on the type/model of printer. If it is a ink printer, you probably have an obstruction. If it is a laser printer then you likely have a problem with your imaging drum or LED/Laser. Either way, a proper cleaning (about $70 in my neighborhood) may resolve the problem.
Send the print job again. If that fails to work, turn the printer off and back on, then resend the print job. If the problem still exists, reinstall or upgrade the print driver.
