It appears there is no communication skills between the two of you and it may be because you are simply tired of his coming and going. You have become an "enabler" for his behavior. No matter what his problem is he should be able to talk to you about it and if you don't feel it's a good enough excuse for the way he's treating you then let him know and tell him he's either with you for the long run or he can hit the door in a full run and not let the door hit him in the butt on the way out. Be aware that he could be into drugs, he could be living a double lifestyle (I have known two men with 2 different families with kids!) He could be just coming back to you when he's lonely or if another relationship doesn't work out. You should not be hurt and disrespected in this manner so have that talk and be firm!
