Well, this could be a tough one. If you really need the bolt to tighten the exhaust, then do you have room to drill out the broken stud with the head still on the engine. If not, and you really need it out, and since there is a broken extractor also in there, then remove the head, yes I know more work and a lot of bad words, and work the head on the bench. Use a torch to heat up the area, and you will find it will just slide out, with a little work. Check valve seals after if you use heat.
On the inside of the passenger's side cylinder head, unfortunately, under the intake manifold.
For a V-8, on the inside of the passenger side cylinder head, unfortunately, under the intake manifold.
Between the intake manifold and the cylinder head.
The manifold in a car passes air from one central source to each cylinder opening on the cylinder head.
engine block, piston, cylinder head, cylinder liner, camshaft, crankshaft, valves, crankcase/sump, inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, cylinder head cover
Four cylinder, it is on the back of the engine under the exhaust manifold. Six cylinder it is on the front of the engine, below the exhaust manifold.
A manifold does that.
Four cylinder, rear of engine, below exhaust manifold. Six cylinder, front of engine, below exhaust manifold.
The manifold block directs the hydraulic fluid into or out of the cylinder.
Under the intake manifold, in the right (passenger side) cylinder head. Yes, you have to remove the manifold to change it.
What engine???????? You should refer to repair manual if not familiar with auto repair and understand the terminology before attempting Remove nuts holding exhaust manifold to cylinder head & remove nuts/bolts holding exhaust manifold to exhaust pipes Use new exhaust manifold gaskets and install the new manifold securing the manifold to cylinder head (may need to but new nuts and or bolts) by "snugly" tightening manifold to cylinder head if not refering to repair manual
The purpose of the exhaust manifold is to connect the exhaust ports on the cylinder head to the exhaust pipe.
