soak in cold water.
You might try heating the plate first. Hopefully the plastic will become warm and melty enough to rub away with a cloth. Steel wool might also be an option, but you take the risk of scratching the enamel surface.
The enamel trays are used for heat-based cooking (convection, oven, broil) in the Advantium. You can either place food right on it to cook and brown, or place a glass baking dish on it. You can not use the enamel tray for microwaving.
Under the radio. Behind the ash tray. Remove the ash tray, remove a plastic enclosure, and you will see the fuses
The tray bolts to the driver's seat. While the Tray is up, pop off the plastic part on the Driver seat that covers the covers up where the tray arm mounts to the driver's seat. Unbolt the two bolts securing the tray arm to the seat. Remove the tray, replace bols and cover.

The CCRM on a 96 Sable is attached to the left side (drivers side) of the battery tray. Undo the spring clamp to remove the CCRM from the tray. The electrical harness on the CCRM is short. If you need to remove the harness, first remove the battery, then remove the battery tray, then you will have room to rotate the connector to expose the 5mm nut that you must loosen to remove the harness connector.
I just did this in my daughter's `96 Avalon .... a real pain ! You have to take almost the whole dash apart to get to it. Start with the center console, then the gearshift surround. Pry off the bezel around the radio and a/c controls. Remove the glove box door and glove box. Remove the driver's side under dash. Then you'll be able to remove the piece that the ash tray / lighter are installed in.... Flip it around and remove the ash tray. Then you'll be able to remove and replace the lighter.... Good luck, it takes quite a bit of time and contortions and patience. !!! rick
How odd. Most people want to train their cats to use the litter tray, not to train them to stop using it. If you don't want your cat to use the litter tray, that's easy; remove the tray. If the tray is not there, the cat cannot use it. Move the litter tray outdoors to get your cat used to going outside and then, eventually, remove the litter tray completely.
