It is a bit of a hassle. The entire "package tray" must be removed. This means the the lower back seat must be removed to gain access to the side strips of the package tray that extend down towards the floor board. The whole thing lifts out with the speaker grills still attached. Most Optima's used 6.5" round speakers in the rear deck, some used 6" x 9". In July 2009 my local Best Buy automotive installation center charged $70. to swap in new speakers for my Optima. It took the pro about 20 minutes. Id allow 45 minutes to an hour if I attempted it.
