it can be due to several reasons but it would be best if you take it to a repair shop to get it fixed.
yes
pop open the area where the button is to open and close the sunroof and then take a screw driver and unscrew the 3 screws holding the plate on the motor open the cover and then manually crank the roof closed by holding the screw driver in the crank (white piece) and turn. I need a new motor.
under the intake manifold close to the oil filter
I would like to know as well.... I have a 2001 dodge neon and I need to get to the mechanics of the sunroof but I dont know how to get to it.... On my sunroof everytime you try to close it, it just sound like the gear is just griding but it will open with no problem but does not close....
on the right side of the engine compartment , close to the wall
There should be an emergency close feature that will allow you to manually close the sunroof on a 2007 Camry. You can also remove the sunroof motor to manually close it.
It would be nice to know the year of your Nissan Altima. For Nissan 2000 Altima GXE the air filter is located right next to the battery. Just push off the 4 clips that hold the top of the filter housing and pull the top off just enough to remove/replace the air filter. Close it and and pull the clips back on.
i have the same problem on acura opens but will not close it closed once may be loose wire or switch is bad.
http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/general-nissan-altima-discussion-1993-2001/260207-how-change-headlight-bulb-96-nissan-altima.html Copy and past that into your web browser. Its for a 1996 but it should be close. I know the bulb is different so look up what bulb you will need. Other then that the steps should be really close.
YES it does. It should be close to intake.
There should be a hand piece on the sunroof. By pulling the handle and pulling forward this will close the sunroof.
