First, is the thermostat in he correct position for cooling? Is there a red light glowing on the thermostat? There could have been a power surge or outage and the heat pump needs to reset. Turn the power off to the heat pump at the control panel for a couple or minutes then back on again to reset the heat pump.
It will be to the left of the thermostat housing, in the intake.
if u changed thermostat it has to be reset so fan can turn on correctly
you cant reset the thermostat light, flashing tempeture light normaley means overheating or the water tank needs topping up. the water tank has a level switch inside and this can cause the tempeture light to flash if the level is low in the water tank.
Are you looking for a high pressure reset? Perhaps you can describe the problem you are having in a bit more detail.
The reset is a high limit safety device that cuts the voltage off when the temperature of the water tank becomes too high. If you feel that the water temperature is hotter that usual this is a good sign that the thermostat is not working. Check and make sure that the setting of the thermostat has not been altered. It should be set for around 140F. If the setting has not been adjusted then there is a good chance that the thermostat needs replacing
This is too cool if the engine had been running for awhile. Thermostat is stuck open which causes the system to stay in closed loop, thus setting the check engine light. Drain and flush the radiator, and replace the thermostat. You may have the have the Check Engine Light reset with an OBD2 scan tool. Ask an auto parts store to reset it after selling you the thermostat and antifreeze for the repair.
You need a new thermostat inside the electric hot water tank, as it is faulty. There is also a reset button on the thermostat that you could try. Does it heat up until the water boils?
