This generally depends on what browser you are using, and under what operating system and version is on the computer.
For Mozilla/Firefox/Netscape, the bookmarks are actually a file called bookmarks.html
For internet Explorer, each bookmark is a separate file with a .url suffix. For example, if the bookmark is listed as "WikiAnswers" in the Bookmarks menu it would be a file named "WikiAnswers.url"
Other browsers have different methods of storing bookmarks.
A simple search using the operating system's File Search function will locate the file(s) for you. Once you have located them, copy them to a recordable CD, a floppy disk, or any other removable storage media and transfer them to the other computer. Once you have the file on the new system, do a search for bookmarks.html on that system and replace the file. If you have one or more browsers installed on your computer, make sure to replace the correct bookmarks.html the corresponding folder.

In Firefox (as with most other Mac browsers) you access the Bookmarks menu by clicking on Bookmarks in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Saves the links of your most popular sites in order to quickly retrieve them without having to use search engines again.
On a Mac, you can find old bookmarks in the Safari browser by opening Safari and selecting "Bookmarks" from the menu bar, then choosing "Show All Bookmarks." Alternatively, you can access them through the "Bookmarks" sidebar by clicking the bookmarks icon. If you're looking for bookmarks from other browsers like Chrome, you can typically find them in the browser's settings under "Bookmarks" or "Favorites." Additionally, backup copies of bookmarks may be stored in the Library folder under your user account.
