Internet history is stored in a hidden directory on the computer. It is stored at the following path C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Local Settings\History.
YesCookies are generally stored under C: > Documents and Settings > (your user name) > Cookies. You can also go to 'Tools' in the top menu bar when you are on the Internet, and click on 'Internet Options' to access them.Browsing history is also stored in similar files. If you're looking towards removing your history, go to IE>tools>general tab and from there you can clear browsing history.
