We can only do this by stopping global warming. To do this we have to:
Global means all over the world, so if we can slow and stop it in one place, then it slows and stops everywhere.
The only way is to switch to renewable energy (solar, wind, water, hydro, tidal and wave, geothermal, ocean thermal, biomass, biofuel and hydrogen).
Renewable energy does not release carbon dioxide greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
We also have to replant the great forests of the world, to take back some of the carbon dioxide from the air.
A very good example of Antarctic monitoring of global warming is an ice core two kilometres long and equivalent to 150,000-year record of warmth, cold and warmth, that a French-Soviet drilling team at Vostok Station in central Antarctica produced in 1985. This provided excellent evidence of both temperature and carbon dioxide levels over the entire period during which the ice core was laid down. They found that the level of atmospheric CO2 had gone up and down in remarkably close step with temperature throughout the length of the core. There was a lag of several centuries between the time when temperatures began to change and when carbon dioxide (CO2) levels began to change in step. This proved the theory that the trigger for each event was the Milankovich cycle, but that once cooling or warming got underway, the greenhouse effect took over to drive temperature change. Interestingly, the CO2 levels in the Vostok Station record got as low as 180 parts per million (ppm) in the cold periods and reached 280 in the warm periods, but never higher. But in the atmosphere over the ice, the level of the gas had already reached 350, far above anything seen in this geological era, and is now around 380 ppm. This was further evidence that the present rapid global warming is associated with anthropogenic increases in the level of atmospheric carbon dioxide. Simply put: Nature is a lot of it - and always has been. But now, man is helping out nature. A lot. Almost certainly too much. And that is a problem.
You can learn to live lightly on Earth and help reduce or prevent global warming all over the planet.
The only people living in Antarctica are the various scientists working at the bases. They follow strict guidelines about making minimal impact on the environment there.
If we stopped Global Warming right now, we could save the Earth by %
No, why would they move to Brazil.
The global warming is threatening Antarctica. This is happening because ice is melting and Emperor Penguins could be threatened as well.
Well we might not have any Polar Bears, Penguins, or the North/South pole
Global warming being known is important so that us humans can try and save our beautiful and wonderful world, which God created.
Yes, penguins are close to being endangered. The problem is with global warming so try to save the world.
I think Emperor penguins are threatned by Global warming
Save earth, Save life...Stop global warming.
There are thousands of slogans that are available for stopping global warming. Some of these slogans include "Global Warming: We have a solution, stop pollution" and "Penguins are on Thin Ice: Stop Global Warming".
Yes, they are because of global warming.
Global warming and the temperature of the ice.
If we stopped Global Warming right now, we could save the Earth by %
The ice would melt
Penguins...
save water.
it is to prevent global warming.
We have to save our forests because its the Earths Lungs. If we cut them down Global Warming will kick in. We have to save our forests because its the Earths Lungs. If we cut them down Global Warming will kick in.
