That really depends on what you believe is happening. In the Southwestern United States we have over 400 years of oil left at current use. Trees and forest are growing at high rates in North America today. There are more forests and trees today then 100 years ago.

Pollution is an issue that does need to be addressed. Destroying the drinking water and filling landfills with needless junk is not productive and makes us just bad stewards of our children's world.

Using things that are reusable is a start, if these items are not plastic to start with. Buy your next car without air conditioning is far better then buying one with. Not having your heat above 65 in the winter and under 74 in the summer all are good for the environment.
