If you want to know about Jesus' life, then yes go to The Bible. But the Bible is not all true. You should know that. It called a religious truth, which means Jesus and some events might have really happened, but some things such as Jesus performing miracles like the fish one, you can assume it didn't happen.
No one really knows, but if you need to know about something religious, THE BIBLE!

Another Perspective:The best evidence that the Bible is trustworthy is Jesus Himself who declared it to be true. Here is an example, in a prayer He prayed for his disciples found in John 17:16-18:
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. You may think this is circular reasoning, but think about it: If the Bible wasn't completely true, then the above statement from the Bible would also be suspect, right? But we know archaeologically that the above passage was written by one of Jesus' disciples (the apostle John) who walked and talked with Him. If John was lying and Jesus never said these words, why would John suffer immense persecution for believing something he knew was a lie?

And if we say that Jesus did say it, but it wasn't true, that Jesus was mistaken about the Bible or deliberately misleading people, then He wouldn't be a great man at all. Yet we know He is trustworthy because He predicted his own death and resurrection, both of which came to pass. How else can you explain his missing body which was heavily guarded so as not to be tampered with? Nevertheless, after 3 days in the tomb, He was gone and to this day no one has produced a satisfactory explanation other than that He has risen from the dead, just as He said.
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you." (Matthew 28:5-7)

How to respond to someone who says that The bible is not scientifically accurate?

"you just got to believe!" You could always say that God and Jesus aren't science. Since God and Jesus have supernatural powers, and since science doesn't support supernatural powers or religion and faith, people would always say The Bible isn't scientifically accurate - The Bible is just a recording what Jesus taught us, but The Bible is accurate with faith and religion. The Bible isn't scientifically accurate only because science is the practice of fact and leaves out all traces of faith and religion, so this whole statement is a response to someone who says that The Bible isn't scientifically accurate.

Why do moslems try to convince christians that the bible is not the word of god?

I would say because their minds are shut to the truth. They believe that the Koran is accurate, while Christians believe that the Bible is accurate. They think that they are right. They want to convert us over to their false religion. The truth, though, is that the Bible is the Word of God. It has been proven again and again by science, archaeology, etc.
