There are many ways of trying to identify an article by sending a photo. A camera phone could be used to take a picture and send it to an informative. Also, a digital camera can be used and then hooked to a computer via USB and uploaded in order to identify the article.

If you post the photo it would help. If you can't post it, try contacting your local herpetological society (Google it), a local reptile specialty pet shop (not PetSmart or Petco), or a local vet.

Try utilising a photo sharing site, like photobucket, or imageshack. Then you can upload your photos to the web, and share the link with your friends and family. Or, if you don't have internet access at all, try taking your camera to Target or Walgreens, and they'll develop the photo files into actual photographs, which you can mail.
