Well, there are many ways to ease the pain of a sunburn, but my personal favorite is aloe. You can buy a bottle of Aloe Vera Cream or something and just rub it on the burn. Not only will your skin feel better, but it also helps to heal the sunburn! :)
Soak in a bath of warm water with white distilled vinegar. It isn't the most pleasant thought - but it works. Fill the bathtub with enough warm water so that you can cover your thighs, add a small bottle of vinegar. Soak for at least 20 minutes. It will take out the sting, and the itch.

This vary's on the person. For example I burn within the first hour or so while my friends could last much longer. Sunscreen of course will help with this. Yet, if you are to get a sunburn the best treatments are aloe, vinegar, or plain yellow mustard (by which i am using to treat a recent sunburn now) All help with the stinging pain. Be careful though not everyone will be able to use the same thing and expect the same results.
If this is a true sunburn you cannot get rid of it in five minutes. Anymore than you can get rid of a burn if you touch a hot pan in an oven. You will have to wait until the burn heals that could be as long as five days.
