You cant really tell if the girl is gay... there arent any outward signs. I would suggest becoming extremely social with her ,find out her likes and dislikes. If she starts flirting with you or even smiles or touches you in a way that shows extreme attraction , then that is a sign. Many women dont like telling just some random person that they are gay and it takes time ; if she is attracted to women then she just is. The best way to do it is through patience,or you could be pretty ballsy and just kiss her ever so softly on her lips if she doesnt push you away then she likes it!
