If you have a betta fish food, and have a picture on it, it's probabily male fish. They are prettier and have longer finns. (Kinda like gold fish with long finns exept different color) The female bettas has shorter finns and are uglier, and I don't know why...
Well.. male beta fish are more colorful like red and blue.
And female beta fish are more whitish pink maybe with a few black spots
all i can say is male betas are colorful and females are more dull
All female Bettas are short-finned. They have a relatively small dorsal fin, short ventral fins, a rectangular-shaped anal fin and may, or may not, have an "oviposter" (white pimple) visible on their underside behind their ventral fins. When a female flares their gill tissue will not extend right the way round the head.
You can also get short-finned males (all wild Betta splendens are short-finned). Fancy short-finned Bettas are called Plakats (or plakads). The short-finned males have a triangular pointed anal fin, long thick ventral fins (the same length as it's body) and a broad dorsal fin. When a male flares the gill tissue will go right round the head.
If the Betta has long fins, it's a fancy male.
male beta fish are the really colorful ones and the females are the ones that have mostly faded color.
Males have long flowing tails and females have short stubby ones and are less colorful than males.
The male Betta fights with other male Betta and the female don't
Np, but they will bite. Yes, they will fight to the death.
yes
She breeds with a male Betta Fish.
it looks like they have a big bubble in their side
No. Betta fish will attack each other no matter the sex.
Your betta fish is a female if she has smaller fins than an average male.
Yes they will.
The Betta fish want to kill eachother. That's what all Betta fish want to do, that's a natural thing.
the female betta fish are released from a vent while a male embraces her
No.
no because the male and femalebetas are the type of fish that live alone. therefor since their opposite sex then there is a chance of them being OK with each other, so if there is another fish with them then they will attack it and eventually killing each other.
The female has shorter fins than the male and is generally less colorful. They should be labeled at the pet store. The females are usually less expensive, too.
