To value a Lincoln cent you need to know three basic things, pretty much the same as for any US coin:
1. Its date
2. What letter, if any, is under the date (it may be blank or have a D or S).
3. How worn it is.
With those pieces of information you can look up values at any number of online sites and in various guidebooks. Numismedia is a good website, and the Whitman Red Book and Krause guides are good print references.
In general, Lincoln pennies dated 1940 and later are only worth a few cents and that's mostly because of their metal content. Cents minted before 1940 can be worth more - sometimes a LOT more - but you have to know those 3 important criteria before determining an exact value.
Looking for someone to tell me what some old coins worth
The U.S. Mint does not use P mintmarks on one cent coins. A 1943 Lincoln cent without a mintmark was struck at the Philadelphia Mint.
Itis hard to tell, but a good-quality penny from the 1960's may just be worth. One freaking cent. Get over yourselves. Try selling a penny for more than one cent stupid.
It's worth at least $2 for its silver content, and possibly more depending on condition.
One of the easiest methods is to weigh it. A genuine 1851 Seated Liberty silver dollar should weigh 26.73 grams, or slightly less if it's heavily worn. If one side has an Indian head on it, similar to the cent minted 1859-1909, it's a novelty coin, and not worth anything.
In circulated condition, a 1993 D penny is typically only worth face value (1 cent). If it is in mint condition or has a rare error, it could be worth more to collectors.

The book is worth almost nothing. However, if you will tell us what coins are in it, they could be valuable (or not). It is unlikely there is anything worth more than a few cents each in the 1941 and newer Lincoln cents.
Hello - Can you please tell me what these are worth: A 1923 $0.25 cent Canadian bill....not a coin...a bill and a $10.00 - 022351 - 1935 bill.... Thank you Diane Morrier
Have it appraised at a jewelry store.
Lincoln is a politician. Politicians tell stories to make them popular with the public. Politicians are good exaggerators. The public is prone to believe anything

The mint mark on the Lincoln cent is under the date on the obverse of the coin, it can only be a "D" or "S" no other mint marks are used.

The experts can speculate, but nobody can tell how much anything will actually be worth in 10 years.
Anything old is worth, and if its in good condition worth more, though if you just got it like a week ago its probably worthless. I cant tell you how much its worth, im not an apraiser or anything, but personally i;d keep it.
