Most men have problems verbally expressing their feelings, to them it makes them vulnerable and weak. Don't push the subject as it will just push them away. When/If they become comfortable enough with you they will talk when they are ready not because you think he should or want him to. Be patient and try not to be overbearing with this as it becomes annoying to them and seemingly needy which will just push him away or possibly even leave. Pay attention to his actions or words he does say to you because he could be conveying things to you in his own way but not ready to actually say yet.
