Shock is the main consequence.

Hypovolemic shock is due to loss of blood and leads to the inability to get blood to the peripheral tissues/cells.

you get less blood volume in total because of losing lots,

you therefore have less in the system to be pumped around (so cardiac output decreases as does blood pressure and level of oxygen delivery)

the heart will beat faster to try to overcome this (tachycardia)

the vessel diameter will get smaller (vasoconstriction) to try to conserve blood

the kidney will synthesise aldosterone which will aim to maintain blood volume.

The person will be cold and clammy, tachycardic, thirsty and possibly confused
