As a person who suffers with insomnia, every night I try to go to sleep and even when I'm exhausted, I can't go to sleep. You mostly just have a hard time going to sleep. Talk to a doctor or psychiatrist about it and they can decide if you need medication to help you out.
No worrying about insomnia does not do the damage, the sleep deflict accompanied by it does. Absolutely YES! I'm so glad I found this question. Go to a psychiatrist and tell them ALL your symptoms (have them written down), also tell the psychiatrist how long it took for your symptoms to manifest, weeks, months, years? Tell him/her you heard about Luvox for OCD and Remeron for insomnia. Then, for the love of God, trust your shrink. (But pray you get a good one.) I find that older women (50+) make for kinder, more understanding (and more stubborn) which if you have OCD you need a stubborn doctor. You need not suffer anymore my fellow human!
Insomnia is the lack of sleep. Not being able to sleep.
