The female will probably be missing fur from ripping it out to make a nest, she will be the one to feed the newborns, and she will probably be overprotective of them and the fur in the nest will match her fur color.
To tell you the truth i just went to check on her because my doe had been busy making her nest that morning and she was away from the nest preening herself and i just happened to look at the nest and i saw the fur and straw ontop move!
If i hadnt seen it from the corner off my eye i dont suppose i would have noticed.
But unlike some people suggest on here my doe gave birth sometime between 10.30 am and 12pm, i know this because she was still making her nest right up till 10.30 am and that was the last time i looked in on her, so they dont always birth at night!
But back to ur question, i dont suppose u can tell really unless u catch her giving birth or she is resting and u cant see her belly moving anymore, chances r they are hidden deep within the nest .
When a doe starts making a nest and pulling fur you can bet that babies will follow soon. You can tell she has had them because the fur will be moving and her dewlap will be somewhat nude. I have found that the doe will usually have her babies the same time of day that you breed her. If you breed her during the day she will have babies during the day, if you breed her during the evening she will have them at night more than likely. Does are very secretive and should be given privacy when they are giving birth. Some nervous does could jump in and out of their box stringing newborn babies on the floor and squashing babies when she jumps in. Rabbits will not pick babies up off the floor and return them to the nest. You must do this for them.
look for the one not smeared in afterbirth.
Take the one out that does not nurse the babies.
No wiener is a start. Babies popping is another.
Well ya see, according to my calculations, the answer is lollipop.
If a mother rabbit feels there is danger for her babies, she kills them. :(
bring ur rabbit in sie or the babies can get a disease bring ur rabbit in sie or the babies can get a disease bring ur rabbit in sie or the babies can get a disease bring ur rabbit in sie or the babies can get a disease
Count 30 days from when she was mated. About 2 days before she has her babies she should start to build a nest, this is another indicator!
a satin rabbit can have up to 10-12 babies.
they can't have babies without a male.
yes if it is a domestic rabbit
