These little fish (Hemigrammus erythrozonus) have no easilly visible sexual differences util they are adult and ready to breed. At this time the females develop heavier, chubbier outlines than the males. This is due to the female filling with ova. (eggs). They are not easy to breed and are even harder to rear once they have been spawned.
You cannot sex them by fin shape/colour, both sexes are identical in that respect.
You can only sex them once they are over a year old (sexually mature) and during the springtime.
Mature females will have rounder bodies.
Question is not clear. Do you mean: "What types of tetra fish are there?" Neon, black neon, black, headlight-taillight, bleeding heart, carninal, glow-lite, to name a few, and there are many others.

Your parents
No. The gender is not related to the relationship of the parents.
If that gender turns you on
If you know your rodents, you should be able to tell the gender of baby rodents at birth (I can).
You will not be able to find tetra eggs without some type of magnification. The infertile ova will go whitish (fungus) within the first 24 hours of being spawned.
