Take the gun apart. Look for proof marks on the barrels and barrel flats. Post them and we can tell you if the gun is Belgian or English. If it is German, it will have proofmarks only if later than 1892. No proof marks also could mean American, but the style will tell us that. I am always happy to discuss the German Dalys. email me jmann@worldpath.net Best, John
I have a 12 gauge shotgun with the numbers 4041 on it. It has a double barrel and double trigger and hammerless. Could someone tell me what year it was made?
Not enough information
I have the same question, and I was also wondering how to tell what year the gun was made.
Springfield manufacture by U.StevensCompany G.A.P.T doubvle barrel dual trigger Chicopee Falls, Mass. USA Proof tested 410 gauge selected forged steel
No, you will only find the shell size, manufacturer and barrel length. Only on some models and brands would tell you the year it was made. But, most Winchester guns tell you the year made, or all the ones I have do.
Between 1931 and 1941.
The Stevens model 311 was discontinued in the year 1989.You would have to contact Savage/Stevens to get the actual age of your double barrel shotgun.
Double barrel? Single barrel? Model? Need more information in order to be able to answer.
