Transmission Problem Battery Problem Ignition Problem
transmission problem
try putting transmission in neutral, then try ignition also check to see if steering wheel is not turned and applying pressure on steering lock in column to do this try to move steering wheel if this is problem it will only move one way , which would be in direction needed to straighten wheels.if it doesnt move one way but does the other way, when you move steering wheel u should be able to use ignition switch
The problem could be the lock for the steering wheel. Move the steering either side while trying to turn the key.
1.) Insert ignition key 2.) Move the key from LOCK TO OFF, THEN PAUSE, 3.) Move ignition key to ON/RUN 4.) Move ignition key BACK TO OFF 5.) Move ignition key to ON/RUN 6.) Move ignition key BACK TO OFF 7.) Move ignition key to ON/RUN and STOP THERE! The THREE MOVEMENTS from OFF to ON/RUN should be done in LESS THAN FIVE (5) SECONDS. You then read the codes where the truck's odometer shows TOTAL MILES, NOT TRIP MILES. (NOTE: FOR EXACT LOCATION OF KEY POSITIONS ON IGNITION REFER TO YOUR OWNERS MANUAL.)
Push it
It's called a firebird leap.
Everybody Move was created in 1990.
Knight Move happened in 1990.
No. with the steering wheel locked you need to move it in the opposite direction so that you can turn the ignition, otherwise you're causing more problems for yourself. So whatever direction the steering wheel will turn(i think left) is the way you should turn it and then flip the ignition.
move the steering wheel while attempting to turn ignition key
Most likely the ignition switch is shorted placing it in an on position at all times.
