When your connection directly from modem is faster (internet bandwidth), than through the router.
no...go the the command prompt and type IPCONFIG and that will give you the information that you need to connect the router
you can, or at least you should. maybe you need a new one? or a new modem
You should not need to. It is a local device that should not interfere with the router and not be interfered with by the router.
Check security setting for wireless network in your router settings. Some routers allow to see the key, some mask it with asterisks. If your router masks the key (in router settings), you have to put a new key, if you want to connect more computers.
I currently use Netgear, but I am not satisfied with the product because apparently it can't handle 3 computers. I recommend the new Belkin AC 1200 router from bestbuy.com
Buy a router and one short Ethernet cable to run from the router to the nearer computer and one long Ethernet cable to run from the router to the farther computer. If both computers have built-in Wi-Fi (wireless), then buy a $40 Wi-Fi router at BestBuy, Amazon.com, Newegg.com, etc., and then you don't need Ethernet cables.
I figured it out myself :). Apparently the router ran out of RAM, so i need a new router... Mleh :P
You can't. You will need to purchase a new router.

I haven't heard of resetting a router to it's original setting. That's a new one for me. The best thing that I can tell you would be to speak with a computer technician.
A router table is a table used for tool shops/garages. Look on amazon.com for a router table, they have used and new ones for cheap. You'll also be able to find one at The Home Depot.
The capability to change the password is in the router's settings. You will need to provide the old password and input your new preferred one.
