When you attempt to take off and raise the clutch pedal, the car is noticably slower to move off. To the point where you're foot may be all the way off the clutch yet the engine is still revving higher than normal and the car is not moving forward at the normal rate for your first gear.

Why would a saturn 2001 sc2 not move in gear?

That depends, automatic transmission or manual?Automatic: low fluid, failed/worn hydraulic pump, failed/worn valve body, worn internal clutch pack...Manual: worn clutch. Note that some might try to tell you that it could be a component of the hydraulic clutch mechanism, but if that were the case, you wouldn't be able to put the transmission in gear.

Your clutch catches at the very end How do you make the pressure more in the middle so it feels correct?

Clutch adjustment 3000gtCheck the clutch pedal stroke. If it is around 6.29 inches you need a new clutch. measurement from the face of the pad to the firewall should be 6.97 - 7.17 inches for FWD cars or 7.2 - 7.4" for AWD cars . There is an adjustment bolt to adjust pedal height however a worn clutch is not adjustable because 3000gts are hydraulic. You may also want to check the fluid in the master and bleed the hydraulic system. On All wheel drive vehicles the distance from the toe board to where the clutch disengages should be 2.2"measured with engine runningIf none of this works, you probably need to replace the clutch as a worn clutch will give you the symptoms you have also.
