The thermostat or the fan relay for the radiator fan. If the temperature gauge shows the engine to be hot the fan should be on. If the fan isn't on you can check it by removing the electrical connection to the temperature sensor. If the fan is all right it will come on by default when the wiring connector is removed. Usually it is the thermostat which needs to be replaced when the engine is overheating. If the top hose going to the radiator isn't hot when the temperature gauge shows the engine to be hot the thermostat is stuck shut and should be replaced.
There is no thermostat relay switch on a 1992 escort lx.
hellofellow escort owner there isn't one
The heater fan relay switch can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The relay switch will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
The starter relay is on the driver's side fender behind the battery.
Is your Escort a 91 to 96 or is it a 97 to 2002?
There won't be a relay for the ignition. You may have a "blown" fuse.
your fan relay switch your fan relay switch
he headlight relay switch should be under the hood in the fuse box. Not sure which one turn the lid over it should have a diagram.
Behind the fuse box in the engine compartment.
The 1986 Escort has a carburated engine , there is no relay switch because there is no electric fuel pump in it. The macanical fuel pump ( Ran by the camshaft) inlocated on the back of the engine , between the engine and the firewall. Good luck to get to it to replace the rubber diafragm.
The fuel pump relay is under the back hatch; on the right; there is a small plastic door; the switch is in there.
The Escort doesn't have a starter relay. It has a solenoid on the starter that handles the heavy amperage.
