(OK- this is the part where you whine "No it's not!") Can you say no? Sorry- unless you are an adult, your parents make the choices on what you need. If you are on welfare, then it doesn't matter what your parents spend their money on. People on welfare can get the state to pay for their braces, by using medicaid insurance. If your parents are receiving money for welfare, then you are covered by medicaid insurance. Therefore, you just go to a participating dentist and have them do what ever they do to have your braces installed. If this doesn't work, then you need to stop claiming you are on welfare, and wait until you grow up and pay for them yourself, because parents are not responsible for getting cosmetic issues corrected on their children. Just be thankful that you have teeth. That's awful. but its their choice. That's awful but their choice? Actually that check is given to them to make sure that the child is well taken care of. You should report how they're using the money, and aren't taking care of their child. If you can use a welfare check to buy computers & hard wood floors then you don't need a check. And if they are on welfare the child should have some sort of insurance. So if the doctor says she needs braces all she needs is to make another opp. with that doctor. First they'll take molds of your teeth, and send them into the state to see if the state approves you for braces. Everything else is up to the state, and payed by the state. Not your parents' welfare.
