In relationships honesty is the most important part. Be honest with your room mate expressing how you feel without blaming the roommates friend or assuming how they other people feel about you.

You don't. Love cannot be forced. Chances are, you would be better off with a different roommate, because there is a good chance he as "acting like a couple" with you because you are convenient, not because he loves you.
