voltage meter.set to DC volts
Buy a cheap volt meter.
Aplly battery voltage to it, it should jump, engage.
The battery can be brought to many shops for a free test. Otherwise, you can test the voltage and parasitic drain amperage with proper usage of a multimeter, available at most hardware and electronics stores. To test the battery beyond voltage and parasitic drain, a very expensive piece of machinery is required to test it further. Most shops have such equipment.
The charger can test the % left in the battery and the voltage remaining. It can also test a car's alternator.
get a multi meter that reads dc voltage & touch the black (negative -) wire to the negative battery post & the red (positive +) wire to the positive battery post with car running. car off is battery voltage, car on is alternator voltage.
Test/replace the voltage regulator. The year, make and model info would help.
when cranking the engine the battery voltage should not fall below 9.6volts if so replace battery
Test the voltage of the battery. if the voltage is below the rating of a new battery (For a CR203 it would be 3.6 volts) it is defective.
Yes, if your car battery is the same voltage as the ATV battery.
yes
Larger.
