It would be best if you have a letter of introduction, from an academic or from an institution dealing with Holocaust survivors, of they decide that you are not someone who might be (inadvertently) harmful or indelicate, then they might introduce you.
you can, but whether they read the letters themselves or not is another issue.
Not likely. When the 1997 movie came out, there were only five survivors still living and none were involved. Walter Lord, however, interviewed 53 survivors to write the book "A Night To Remember" and several survivors contributed to THAT accompanying movie.
Waht you feel is the right thing, attempt not to go into detail of what you have learned about the Holocaust, it might bring back horrible memories. But make it ver clear how you respect him/her.
yes.
No, none of the survivors of the titanic wrote about the titanic's wreck itself
Yes. Survivors will be about dogs, though details are still unknown.
Unfortunately none of the Andrews Sisters are still living.
It was a dream at first but turned to be a nightmare
Only survivors write history...
Arguably, if the subject is handled with historical accuracy and the tortures and deaths are neither ridiculed nor over-dramatized as to appeal to sadists. Certainly this is no subject for comedy. A better idea would be historical round-table or omnibus dicussions where a group of survivors would compare notes, so to speak and flesh out the details=- this has been done with many historical subjects as diverse as the Titanic disaster and the Battle of the Bulge- why not a Holocaust Omnibus- Maybe, just maybe there might be too many conflicting tales.. Aha! [Survivors from the Titanic? How many are there?] ___ In principle there is no objection. However, Holocaust fiction is very hard to write well and needs a lot of research. The danger is that it may either trivialize or sensationalize the Holocaust.
If you mean that you want to make a presentation/project about the Holocaust, but in a unique and creative way, then I suggest you try something that you wouldn't normally do, like: - Create a model of a concentration camp, with a description - Do a skit on people being taken into the concentration camps - Write a 'journal' based on the life of someone living during the Holocaust
You should write about the daily life in the camps!
