It might be the next livable planet
Um .. well there are so guesses that there were life on the planet long ago, but i don't think that mars is livable anymore.
Mars.
Mars is the red planet, because it looks red on close approaches. The next close approach will be in the spring of 2014, you can have a look at it then.
inner planet
when i say so
Mars is not "livable". There are no planets in the solar system that are livable without artificial environments.
It might be the next livable planet
Aside from Earth, no. And at this point mars is not a viable option in the foreseeable future either.
Venus and Mars Mars is more closer... What has that mean?? To answer your question, Venus and Mars are close to Earth.
Mars is livable if we teraformed it which would take hundreds of years. some of the other problems are the atmosphereic pressure is to low and all the water is frozen. so we would have to warm up the planet then get more oxtgen in the atmosphere.

It is close enough that we can see it.
Mars is an "inner" planet, if that's what you mean. It is "inner", because it is in the inner Solar System, fairly close to the Sun.
