How come I installed my minecraft mods correctly and deleted the meta file but the game hasn't changed?

Why is it your Mods for minecraft are installed correctly and Meta file is deleted then when you run minecraft it is the same game and not affected at all and i have modloader and audio mod?
Try it again. Delete the .jar, reopen Minecraft, it'll redownload a vanilla .jar. Then do the exact same thing.
